What's On : Environmentally Friendly Events

Oxford is a city bursting at the seams with events across all forms, cultures and places. Here are a few different ones that should not only be interesting but also have an environmental spin to them.

Nicholas Stern
Nicholas Stern was an advisor to the UK government on climate change and he recently warned that things are worse than he thought. This should be a fascinating evening for all those who are interested about the environment.
The talk is on the 19th October at 17:00. FREE tickets can be obtained here

Lou Lou's Vintage Fair
The largest vintage fair in the UK comes to Oxford! This is a great way to help the environment and your wallet. By reusing clothes we reduce the waste caused by just throwing them away and you eliminate packaging all together. So if you want to save the planet and look like you've just walked out of an episode of Mad Men this is the event for you.
The fair is Saturday 26th September from 12:00-17:00 at the Oxford Town Hall find more info here

East Oxford Farm and Community Market
This is the sort of event where everybody wins. Farmers and Local producers win because they can sell their food and make a profit which helps the local economy. The environment wins because there's a lack of waste from packaging and little pollution from transporting food and you the consumer win because you get delicious local produce at great prices.
This market runs every Saturday from the 19th of September until the 10th October at 10:00-13:00
